Linked Documents Search Syntax

The advanced search syntax allows you to perform searches for documents that have been linked together. Linking two documents together allows you to specify a relationship between those two documents. You can then use this relationship when searching for those documents. The syntax for this type of search is shown below.

The term Relation specifies the type of relationship that a document must have with another document before it can be considered a valid search result. The type of relationship that will be searched for is represented by the term ID. The type of relationship that will be searched for should be enclosed by quotation marks. By default, the "Supersedes/Superseded by” document relationship is the first relationship in a Laserfiche 7.2 repository and has an ID of “1.”
