Changing How You Open Electronic Documents

WebLink allows you to open electronic documents using two methods:

• You can configure WebLink such that when you click on an electronic document, you will be prompted to download the electronic file and display it in its native application (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, etc.) outside of WebLink.

• You can also configure WebLink such that when you click on an electronic document, WebLink will load the document view window and display the images and text associated with the Laserfiche document.

Use the My WebLink page to change the default behavior for opening electronic documents.

To change how you open electronic documents

1. Click My WebLink at the top of the page next to the Logout link.

2. Select the View Document Options item from the list on the left.

3. Under the Open electronic documents using option, perform one of the following:

• If you would like to view the electronic file by default, make sure that The associated application option is selected.

• If you would like to view an electronic document through the document window by default, then make sure that the Standard document display option is selected.
