All WebLink users have retrieval access to the Laserfiche repository. Thus, they cannot change the repository or add objects, such as annotations, to documents. However, as security permits, the WebLink user can view any existing highlights in the Laserfiche repository.
A WebLink user can also view redacted pages. If a user has sufficient access to see through redactions, the image or text will appear normally. Otherwise, the redacted portion of the image will be viewed as a black box or a white area (depending upon the configuration of the redaction in the Laserfiche repository). Additionally, redacted text will simply not appear.
Sticky notes are another annotation that can be displayed
through Laserfiche WebLink. Hovering over a sticky note will display the
text contained in the particular sticky note. The contents of all sticky
notes on the current page can be viewed by clicking the Sticky Notes icon
from the main toolbar. Each sticky note icon will be assigned a sequential
number. This allows the user to match up the sticky note text with a sticky
note on the page.
Laserfiche WebLink can also display stamps that have been placed on a document.
